On February 11th, the first of 3 layoff waves will occur. The first will be teams that took funding for Canada, but were not in direct support of Canada operations. If a team took funding for 3 people, that team must eliminate 3 positions regardless of if they have any canada involvement. The second wave will be eliminating all the direct-Canada-support related teams near the end of May. The last wave will be in early fall and will consist of a "cleanup" and again will impact teams that took canada funding, but were not in direct support of Canada. After everything is said and done between 700 and 1,000 positions will be eliminated. All three waves will hear which wave they're in next week.

In the past layoffs you got called and your desk was mailed to you
So if someone is out of the office that day. Will they call them or wait until they return to the office?
2k is 1% not 1/2 of the company, just saying
2k views, this is like half of the company is reading this stuff. the management should be very concerned here, this a discussion they cannot control
@Anonymous64083 "some of the non Canada Tts position will also be let go next week mid." Which TTS positions?
People on our team who are funded by Canada were told they would find out next week. Everyone else has been talk that the Canada folks are in limbo but as for everyone else it's been business as usual.
For those of us who were previously let go, what did the letter say?
All in Minneapolis? Or spread out to all Target locations? Pretty non-specific post.
