So when is the announcement coming for company wide layoffs

yes i work at one of the d.c's in ny .. Theres only two d.c's in ny so its a 50/50 shot they are talking about our d.c

as a worker in one of the ny d.c's i was curious if any of the other d.c's had a big jump in prod expectations .. A couple of the numbers they raised are at a unabtainable level now with the balance of freight flow through our building .. This was on top of us having higher prod numbers than our sister d.c which is less than an hour away . Was curious if this was just corporates way of setting us up to fail so they could point to unmet prod expectations as the reason for closing us , or if this is a pyramid wide screwjob
There are about 14,000 people at target's MN headquarters, so 2,000 is a lot if they're all at headquarters, but maybe not too many if it includes other locations too. Target said there are 600 positions related to Canada they're reviewing.
Any idea of a date in March? We are awaiting confirmation of what is really going on in Tifton Ga.

3000 is like half of HQ. Even the massive layoff during the financial crisis in early 2009 was only 1500 employees and that was when the economy was on the brink of financial catastrophe.
Would love to hear from someone with actual information instead of just speculators.

I'm betting on next week Wednesday (11th). People supporting Canada were told they'd find out in the middle of February and next week there's a pay period. They'll definitely want this done before the board meeting March week 1. I'm thinking at least 2000 HQ positions eliminated (including Canada support)
We are in a permanent layoff mode, so do not worry about, let's call it "daily layoffs at Target", something that never stops
