Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

QC is between a rock and a hard place

QC is between a rock and a hard place wrt apps processors. Apple and Samsung on top, Mediatek on the bottom. Intel, Nvidia, TI etc. lurking nearby. On the modem side there is competition from many vendors. The rest of the tech world has caught up to and has now surpassed QC. Steve M. and the other executives have the other executives really have to get QC focused on being the best in apps and modem. And move into and create new devices fast.

See, no sense of humor. Must be one of those guys who wanted fragomen to do an "extraordinary abilities" visa but then got told to get in line with the rest of the ordinary shmucks with second rate Masters degree

Nobody really respects those guys who work 80 hours for the price of 40 while only getting 20 hours of real work done

Worthless American dogs keep on complaining about Indians. Hahah.

Good these kind are getting slowly replaced in Qualcomm with Asians.

Hello fat, lazy American bstrards, hard to compete right ?

I don't think anybody denies that dark matter helps hold the large scale structure of the QC universe together. However if your scenario played out the collective sense of humor would rise dramatically. Now it's just a lot of polite awkward laughs with the occasional passive-aggressive wink emoticon.

It would be an interesting experiment to see if all “Bollywood” types leave the company. Let’s see where QC is at that point. It is hypothetical, but let’s pretend. Could QC fill all the vacant positions with enough creative Americans? I think the answer is no, there are not enough Americans or creativity to fill the vacancies.

@Anonymous62455, don't bother with even the most low hanging fruit of pop culture references. The Bollywood types are clueless.

QC needs to dial it one louder than the competition. 65 bit processor. Amps to 11. That's capitalism, dawg. Otherwise QC will become next
