Uh. That comparison is about as dumb as they come..... Everyone knows EVERY company is forsale for the right price IF it benefits the shareholders. AKM got fired because he almost bankrupt a corporation to personally feather his personal interest..... Commonly referred to as stealing from the shareholders. You don't have to personally know DL to have common sense.
As much as I love people throwing around that they personally know DL or that he's giving them inside info. If the stockholders decided to sell chk, he'd have very little say in it. Just like AKM had very little say in his termination.
I could make aliens landing on Aubrey's hair-deck sound pretty legit. That doesn't mean it's true.
If it means anything, DL took a field trip and told us there's zero truth to the rumor that we're for sale to the Indians (or anyone else). I'm taking that at face value.

59698 ... what, did you just start paying attention tof CHK? What about the supposed BP buyout a few years ago? What about the supposed buyout by Shell a year ago? Yes, those were rumors, but so is this one!
Duh. Every successful independent is on someone else's acquisition list. If you're not .... it means you AINT worth buying. AKM left enough mess behind at CHK that no one else will want any part of buying it until it's completely cleaned up.
Up until this point there has been zero articles about a CHK sell, so... There were rumors, but nothing ever in the media.
Haha. Yeah. Because that's how it worked with all the buyout rumors so far. If it were, then Chesapeake would have been bought and sold five times in the last year.
