Perhaps you can provide a plot of Samsung managers yelling levels (in dBSPL) vs time, against market share vs time. That will surely show a clear correlation. Of course, this will imply causation!

All this time I was certain Samsung's market share decline was caused by the rise of fracking in North Dakota

BTW: personally I think these fears are overblown... If you look at the galaxy line of devices from the past. Samsung typically ships more than one version of the same phone. For example, look at the Galaxy S5...

There's one version of the device that ships with QCOM's snagdragon 801and another version that ships with their in house exynos 5422...And if you go back to the S4, and even the Galaxy Note line, you'll see the same thing.

Samsung has a habit of using more than one supplier for their products. They do this, like every other supplier mostly to keep costs low by playing each supplier off of each other....

I think you folks worry less about Samsung dropping the snapdragon processor off the S6 and worry more about the fact that Samsung's handset business is in decline and in trouble....Just read about what's going on in China and their market share starting to trickle down...

Samsung's market share is actually in decline (albeit slowly)...

And their work culture is basically a hierarchy of management that manages by yelling and shouting down to the level right below them to get things done quicker.....

what does management style have to do with market share? that same style had them gaining share in the past, no?

people are dumb-dumbs, and will buy whatever phone/brand has the most clever commercials

Samsung management are rude loudmouth idiots. The management is run on fear and all their sales tactics are based on threats. That type of business model will make Samsung lose market share as we are seeing now.

I know that we have issues, but don't start me on Samsung where I worked from 2004 to 2009 when I joined QCOM. They are all over the place and their strategy shifts quarterly. Culture of fear, managed with an iron fist. At some point this will catch up with them, I would not bet on them under no circumstances.

Samsung will be using the Snapdragon 810 very soon. Have no fear.

There is a bit of wishful thinking here on part of Samsung, but, let's see what happens.

This isn't surprising. They bought Atheros. And recently they bought CSR..There's probably overlap...
