I used to be part of it and still remember the extent of power that the Colombian and British clans widely exercised in Houston. They would dictate the situation not depending on the goals, budget and professional ethics but based on their personal ambitions, creating favoritism in office, so condemned by the US and TX DOL, promoting godfathering, etc etc ect Is this still the case there? Why does not SLB wide'em out and clean up this mess promptly so that all these talented but deeply suppressed folks can bring real-time feasible benefits to SLB. It was ridiculous then!bThe HR certainly won't want to hear about. I feel pity for those whose destinies and family welfare still depends on this kind of sh.heads They are to be laid off if there is God!

Years ago, it used to be a decent place where people worked in creative environments free of harassment, antogonism and technical plagiarism. The old talents left. Robots and clans are in charge. Not sure who prevails in this ongoing fight but the results so far are quite interesting - rats snitching for management are everywhere, others pretending doing some work which does not exist in most cases, polishing CVs, management gathering inside with doors shut, empty desktops and hallways, trembled employees, battles between team members for a single project from some dying BL, subordinates kissing management bts to release them only then the latter feel that its a good time to lick management's bts in turn. And in the same manner, up the chain of command. We recognise ourselves, don't we? And up to the last floor. Sometimes notice well dresses pretty girls in the corridors, as a rule of thumb, those are spouses and secret lovers of some VPs or deputy VPs. Once upon in America! and only here! White folks sit in the offices, the others, more swarthy to deepest shades and other eye forms are in the cubicles or standing 9 hrs in the labs. This is the scene of decomposition emanating from our heroes described elsewhere. It is them who did all en nomine of their pride and narcissism. And in the very middle of all this stinking foul again them, standing with their chins up and looking proudly around. Some of them are young and fully incapable of their professions if any and lacking basic people skills. Caressed by their incompetent protegees, they are ready to tweak CVs from JD to MD and DDS but to become taller to not sink in this sh that comes from above as holy water. I can see the digested bodies of Muslims, Blacks, Jews, Asians, and other pure guys floating around. But it is not enough to satisfy hunger, there will be more food to come. And when no them, it will be each other as hyenas. Jungle or heaven and the Garden of Eden? The former for many and latter for few. Applause them SWACO. Make them taller and wiser. The more you talk about these shmocks, the larger their bonuses will be. This company does opposite things. Do you really believe in this 'ethics line'? It's kind of funny mon ami. The case will get to HR where you will be interrogated and eventually fired for violation of some kind of company safety or security procedures. I would rather get out of such a place.
Schlumberger has an ethics line you can call to denounce these people.

I think I know who they are. Are they still employed? They had been doing this crap for years under different presidents, at least 4. Indeed cocky guys. I work for a competitor now, we don't have such crap going on. Not any specific country, it is the organisation that gave them the rights to do that. This environmental solutions department is useless anyways. What significant solutions have they brought to the environment? I don't remember seeing anything in journals and magazines. Bunch of managers, business lines, etc. that have no use anywhere else only in this swamp!

Just my 2 cents here: if you need the names of these British folks, pls provide an email address. I am a white American, born and raised in the US. I do not recall seeing many Colombian, Black, Arabs, Asians, etc. managers in their central offices at North Course Drive in Houston. In terms of the British managers: check the so-called Environmental Solutions ES, top-to-bottom. Here are the initials of some of these counts: BH, MH, RB, GC, CS, BL, MF, KH...I don't remember all. They do everything they want to in their earldoms. The UK is one of our best allies but some of these folks need to be extradited to avoid law suits Besides a couple of Latinos and Indians, there are no minority managers in ES. What is most interesting, the HR folks close their eyes on everything they do so many are pissed off. If teh HR does nothing now, we are going to expose all their names incl hr themselves to the reporters. whistleblowing is legal in TX
Good luck with Texas Department of Labor - they take their salaries and go home. Sometimes they say hello on their website and that's it. Useless pretty much in my opinion.
