I've been in class the last couple weeks and I've had 7 people get phone calls from their management to let them know they will be on a plane the next day because they have been laid off, five of them were wireline (not sure what districts) and the other two were cementing. People are having a hard time concentrating in class because of all the madness. I called my manager, and they laid off an entire wireline shop in West Virgina (Weston) so now Bradford is responsible for the entire Northeast and into Ohio, Illinois and so on. He said as of right now the only cuts that needed to be made were there, but we all know how that goes. I'm just getting ready to be ripped out of class and sent home because I lost my job. Sorry to whine.
Good luck to everyone that has lost their job, I hope you're able to take your talents elsewhere, to a company that will actually value what you bring to the table.
