Side projects are money losers. They were sustainable when QCOM was printing money via its licensing
But not any more. It will be painful but cuts are required for the company to survive.
QCOM also faces stiff competition but it can still do well. QCOM will most likely roll along like Intel
Being an entrenched player. But if QCOM drops the ball it could be the next Nokia and go down.
