Riverbed and it's new owners are ruthless and totally lack any kind of human kindness. They have cut over 30% of their workforce to improve profits. The layoffs were based on how much you cost the company, not on performance. Then they give a measly severance that won't sustain anyone for more than two months. If I was a prospective client I would not deal with a company that has no regard for it's employees. I would be gun-shy and wander how they would deal and treat me. I made a big mistake in going to Riverbed, I hope no one else does.
There appears to be no rhyme or reason as to the people that were targeted in this RIF, except one - if you made someone's sh!t l!st then you were a target. Near where I work, 2 in the TAC were let go, one with 6 years, the other with 3.5 years. Open positions were kept open. No sense at all.
CEO sent out an email announcing further layoffs all this week.
Riverbed laid off 400 people on 4/17/15.
