Thread regarding Raymond James Financial Inc. layoffs

Started working here 4 to 6 months ago (protect the innocent) and

this is the most awful company I have ever seen! I haven't even read about companies this seriously screwed up! Sad, but already I am ready and starting to leave. There is no compassion or empathy to the employees from the managers. None. Constantly jerking people around, laying them off, letting people go, bold face lies like we are stupid... I'm surprised the HR people haven't been running for the hills in this misery. Goodbye and good luck!

If you are new to the company, get out while you can or you will be sacrificed at some point unless you make it to the top floor club. If you are ok with blow jobs for strangers, you might make it. Otherwise, get out. Hitler recruited many and some did not agree with his philosophy. They escaped. My suggestion is taking the route through the mountains and run for the hills. Good luck.

"Not an IT crybaby" has gotta be new to RJ and probably just out of school. When a company is this bad and you say its good, it must be your first job (or Vin is online now).

Hahahahahahaha, Wait until you see the 2014 raise numbers "Not an IT crybaby". Hint: welfare recipients will received a bigger raise. I also think that you just backed-up everybody's point on this website. RJ is 100% behind money now and could care less about the people. You must be new at RJ too.

As long as record profits continue there will be no wholesale changes. Why should there be? Reilly's ultimate responsibility is to RJF shareholders and since they too are enjoying the firm's success, there really is nothing to fix.

Just look at the yearly employee survey last year. Worst ever by far. RJ was one of the top 100 to work for over the years, until the reigns went over to Bella and Vin, and completely dropped out of that chart. Upper management holds meetings to discuss the results and figure out what to do to fix things, and here we are, almost a year later, and nothing has improved or changed, other than they've found a way to run off more great employees and managers and bring in more foreign contractors.

The past 3 years at RJ have been the absolute worst in most areas. There won't ever be improvement until the leadership changes from the top down. Bella, Vin, Andy, Sateesh all need to move out the door so this company can once again be proud and succeed. Everyone in development hates their jobs and managers. IT Security has nothing but turnover and the people that are still around hate their management. IT in general, people aren't happy.

But like I already stated, nobody cares about the employees any longer since Tim was removed from his role.

HR, for any company, is not a benefit or department for the employees. They are there for the company. If you believe otherwise, you are gravely mistaken and will find out the hard way who they represent.

To Done in IT, HR is just as bad as the managers maybe even worse! They couldn't keep a confidence if their life depended on it. They actually have aided management in some of their actions. Anyone who has been here any length of time already knows you can not trust HR. The worst ones...Eileen S, and Terri L. Liars! Liars! Liars! DO NOT CONFIDE IN ANY OF THEM and get out will you can!

No. Tom James left and Paul, Bella and Vin took over. Once that occurred, RJ IT went to hell fast. Do not past go, just go straight to a crap hole place to work. Graph it and going to hell will line up straight to them starting at RJ, but what do they care? Most of them actually live in New York. Zero commitment and an easy walk away. The decisions will come back to haunt RJ eventually. Less people will apply for jobs here, the good ones will not desire to work here and can leave because they are the good ones, work will suck more, people will turn over faster which will feed the work will suck more, work will become shoddy, salaries will jump to fix it which will fix it short term, but misery overrides money and then back to suck and shoddy work. RJ IT will be a crap shop and a last resort place to work in a few years. Probably just in time for the New Yorkers to move back to New York.

No. An App Dev team. Time to go to Baycare where I here it is nice. I heard RJ was nice, but then heard a lot of bad things too. I guess the dark side has won.
