I can confirm QChat team has major chunk of folks notified today.
All groups ( engineers and non engineers)
Handful of folks left in each group plus management folks.
Not a big surprise to many.

Qis - qchat in SD?
Got to know around 100 QIS-Qchat employees were told to leave by Feb 11th.

What 52210 meant was specific standalone wifi SOCs were cancelled with no plans for replacement
Makes zero sense to close a $3 billion unit

Santa Clara and San Jose are Atheros. SCL also has Location (GPS) teams

QCA folks are panicking, I did not hear about meeting invites though
They're getting out of the mobile wifi SOC business...kind of defeats part of the purpose for purchasing atheros
But SCL isn't atheros ?
QCA has a pretty large engineering team in San Diego too
Were is AllJoyn located?
It looks like most folks are from San Jose, might as well be Atheros
What I have heard is that QCA is definitely getting hit very hard. I also hear QIS (Alljoin, BREW, etc) maybe on the chopping block.
