Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

If you are working at Staples, Run! Don't walk away!

I knew this was coming long ago. The bad customer service...the entire "if there is no service plan...it's not in stock" thing from day one. This created a lot of conflict after you tell a customer a computer is not in stock...and turn around and sell the same item to another customer who purchased one of those worthless service plans. You can alienate your customers so long before they go to W.B. Mason or Amazon or Walmart.

Sure they are "thriving" as on line company. With all the bad press and unhappy customers, how long is that going to last?

It makes me glad I left a long time ago.

Despicable ....more like parasites. I remember when cell phones were becoming the norm and my general manager was attempting to sell me the expensive plan. I am so glad I turned this GM in question down because he was later fired and went to Baby's R' Us and got fired for ...you guessed it.....stealing merchandise. Out of the four GM's I've worked with three of them were fired for stealing. Way to go Staples.

I recently left, and thank god, it's a truly despicable company and I am telling everyone I know to shop elsewhere.

You are so right. I'm surprised it took this long. I left two years ago, and was so relieved to get out. The levels of stress are unbelievable.
