Hello all, I have a quick inquiry. I am not a Target employee but I wanted to ask you what is the best way of applying for Target Corporation jobs. I know that there is website where you can apply for jobs but I have a feeling that those resumes just site somewhere and that nobody is looking at them. So, what's the best way to apply for Target Corporation jobs? Should I find a headhunter who has contacts at Target? How about emailing Target Corp folks directly. I graduated in 2012 with a degree in Business (UC Riverside) and I have 1 year of work experience as an assistant to a Buyer at a Fortune 500 company. Please help.

I am the original poster. I appreciate your input, seems that Target might not be the best choice. I really like the brand and the (perceived) fact that, for an aspiring buyer professional, Target might be offering some opportunities. Thanks for your honesty.
If you want to work in a place where it SEEMS that everyone is a metrosexual and it is cool to show up with your latte and PRETEND that you work, go apply and apply on the website. There are no shortcuts. You can get hired in 2 weeks or you can be sitting here in 6 months with no response. SO good luck.
If OTHERWISE, you wish to work HARD and be part of an organization where MERITOCRACY is something closer to reality, I suggest you seek in companies that have a STRONG PROCESS MANAGEMENT CAPABILITIES. Go to Best Buy, a Bank (Wells Fargo or US Bank), UnitedHealth Group (although not the best), Bluecross Blueshield, or try joining Accenture or Deloitte. Target is right now a junkyard where kids show up in a three-piece suit and PRETEND they work where they know crap. Good luck!
10 points for creativity, -10,000 for good judgement. You are asking to get hired on a layoff site.
Don't waste your time with this company. Company does not allow you to think outside of the box. Benefits and raises are terrible. You will have to reinvent the wheel to get a 3% raise. But make sure you keep it in the box.
Right on
Target isn't doing well and has been laying people off. The best you can hope for at Target Corporate is a position that would eventually be off-shored or outsourced.
