18 months ago Follett needed someone to throw it a lifeline. The board did, but attached an anchor. It reminds me of the Big 3 automakers in the 70's. Why change, every car they ever saw was made in Detroit. They should have left Detroit.

TO the workers; organize. Call in sick (on the same day). Just one day. It doesn't have to be at the beginning of the school year, but everyone should call in sick. Show them they need to respect you.
