If you think any systems they put in place are for the benefit of security or the employees, think again. There is always a reason that relates to productivity and profit. There is a lot of dead weight at RJ and these systems may catch some of them. However, in my experience they usually let the people that actually work go. If you are a slacker and have a manager as a buddy, you are safe. Take those two hour lunches. If you are in executive management or produce large revenue for the company, keep your tee time at that private golf or tennis club. You are safe as well. If you are at the top, do what you want. You always have that parachute to fly away with if something goes wrong. It probably won't because you shook on it with blood when you joined the club so don't worry about it.

Your badge registers the time it is swiped each time you enter and exit the building. Your manager and HR knows your core hours and also can confirm with your manager if you are allowed to be working from home, offsite, etc.

RJ believes that now that it has cut staff, there may be a productivity problem with those that remain. The system tracks each individual entry/exit time and that is used to calculate how many hours you were in the building.
