What I would do is start an unionization web site. Like www.targetunioncard.com, kind of a catchy site name. Have it where teammates can go in secret and talk with one another. Get some really go union contacts and message boards. Maybe like a support field so teammates will know how much support is at their site. Target might would buy the domain to shut it down. LOL!

You just need to unionize ;). Then no more sneaky corrective action plays. Before you quit plant the seed of unionization.

It happened to me also. It started with a leadership status that had some vague items listed. One month later was a corrective action given. HR was no help at all through it. I got my resume updated and started applying for new jobs. The corrective action turned into a final action and lastly the 01/22/14 layoff. I am in a better place now with a lot less stress. I have heard from others that really good people are now starting to get corrective action. So you are not alone.

when they began giving me bad reviews for no good reason, I started looking for a new job. Fortunately I found one before they had enough against me to terminate me. Don't wait till it's too late, start looking for a new job now.

don't expect any loyalty for your years of service, they are out to cut cost and they care not how long or hard you worked for them.

This is how they plan to replace you to reduce cost, If you have a pension then you will be target for termination/forced resignation. Target doesn't care about good employee, they care about cost though, if they feel that they can reduce cost by replacing you, they will. Leave on your own term, start looking for a new job now, no matter what you do they will still bear down on you and make your work life a living hell.

Yes. I'm at HQ and was told this week that the average exempt employee works 50 hours a week and that I need to "begin to do more for the company". I normally work 42-45 hours/week.

Nearly all the full time Team Members are going down to part time with no benefits. Many are being replaced by new ones at min wage at the Targets nearby.
