I have stopped by this website over the past few months, and I don't know if this website is a scam or a real site. I sense a lot of anger, and that means that people care. But the big thing is....management doesn't care about you or me. I have 10 years of experience in ISM, and I was just told my job is eliminated. Unions aren't the answer...if everyone is so ticked off at the company, pick a day where everyone can just call in sick. You obviously don't want to announce that day here....there are channels for everyone to communicate with each other. Use cell phones, e-mail, have a national sick day to make your point.

After 12 years, I too, have been told that my position has been eliminated. My options severance or work in the warehouse. I wouldn't even know how to begin nor do I want to. I will no longer shop at target and I am cancelling my red card. I doubt that a union would have made a difference but to all that remain good luck and remember no job is safe, if they can find a temp worker to do the job or find a company to outsource that has cheap labor your job is next.
The attendance policy is one that can write you up at will. There is no concrete number of days you can miss. Something like that would lead to a lot of write-ups, even for ones that hardly ever miss days. Union is the only thing that will make the necessary changes. I wish everyone well.
Just walking off the job would give them just cause to eliminate more jobs, probably allowing the to circumvent the CA process
