Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

My experience

I have worked at 556 in Tifton for over 20 years. We had a union vote back in 97. We heard a lot of promises from Target and nothing never panned out. Just a lot of broken promises. We come up around 40% at that time. That did get us 80 cent raises for 2 years in a row. Haven't saw a raise that good since. That was impressive raises and the union didn't even make it in the door. Imagine if it made it in, things would be better. We could probably get rid of the GL position all together. Shop Stewards could communicate directly to the SGL. I have saw a time when they did away with SGLs, but soon implemented that back in the mix. None of them got the shaft of the recent employees. Target cant afford to shut down a DC right now, they haven't built one in quite some time. I wish I would have voted for the union back in 97, but I believed all the lies. VOTE UNION MY FRIENDS!

I heard they told a bunch of old ladies to work on the floor or take a severance. I wonder what would happen if that hit the media

I remember when Don Heide come to down and beat the stand to scare the union out of everyone. It must have worked, it didn't go through. We ain't nothing but Target's cheap black labor down at 556. Stacy makes sure she takes it easy in Italy while people are getting the shaft. She also makes sure she is the only hen in the hen hour of senior management. If you guys are ready to organize let me know.

Don't buy into their false promises, it's time to make a change!
