Unions are the modern form of legal communism, restricting what members can earn and by telling them what political stance they can have. They dictate to their members what they will earn. They dictate to their members what their political views must be. Freedom of choice is no longer valid when you are in a union. The unions only care about advancing their power and control over their members, business and politicians.

I did my job and went home for a very long time. I did it really good. You just keep drinking that Koolaid. Something is going to give, production is going to go up over years and you are going to get older. When you get to the point where you can't physically make that number, you are gone. They keep up with the cost for employees with a lot of vacation. Just look on the benefits site. You are up for replacement in the coming years.
As a TM for the last 10 years I can honestly say most of the rants about how bad target is are not truly justified. Its not that horrible of a job if you just go in and do what you are supoossed to do and then go home. No amount of stomping your foot for unions is going to do anyone any good. The decisions made were long over due in my opinion . I have friends that had their jobs cut and I feel bad for them and will supoort them as best as a friend can but in the end, they will find something else to do with target or another company. There seems to be an aweful lot of hate out there. If I got to that point, I would go find something else to do instead of staying. Has nothing to do with drinking the koolaid either where my opinions come from. It comes from real experience of working in a union where I felt no more protected than I do now. I paid my dues every week and worked my tail off while the guys who were there a year longer half assed their jobs with no repercussions. Once I found my job was being eliminated and sent to another state, we all were shut out of the doors. No transfers, no new positions and no more paycheck. If you think target won't do the same, you need to read up on unions today. They are not the same as previous generations. They are in it to make money too and you become their assets to do so. Maybe I'm lucky in my building, we have people that like tobstir things used here and say how unfair it is for everyone and keep pushing union but most of those people we deal with here doing that are ones that could be given the golden key to the executive washroom and still wouldn't be happy and would look to criticize the next thing they can latch on to. Next time you guys go to court to resolve an issue. Go to court without a lawyer and see what happens. That is about the same as working at Target without a union. I was once salary for Target and in the good ole boys club. Trust me, they laugh and degrade the teammates. You are nothing more that a production # next to an employee #.

I've voiced my opinion on unions in the warehouse, and here I will publicly state them and without hiding behind the shroud of anonymity. A union will do nothing more than make our jobs more difficult to resolve issues of any nature big or small. Changes occur over time, don't like them go find one of the other jobs that pay as well as ours. A union can do NOTHING to stop corporate change. Best case scenario they may help a teammate return to work after being fired but that would be the extent of it. Do your research. The only thing a union can do is take your dues and line their pockets. Im not about to pay an outside company for the privilege to work for another. Thank you

While your mind is blinded by communism, your job is being outsourced in some non-descript conference room and there are executive toasts made for this deal is some high flying restaurant down the street.
