It would make a good story for the Kent Stater. Unfortunately the employees still employed at the Kent State Bookstore are in fear of losing their jobs by saying or doing anything. So they wouldn't say anything. Work environment there is awful.

Has anyone thought about writing a human interest story for the school newspaper? Maybe title it " The dehumanizations of corporate America and your campus bookstore" just a thought.

They could come back part time & less pay. Why & who would go back. These people did not deserved to be treated like that. I will not & don't shop at this store. I know a lot of other people who will not shop there.

Seriously no notice and these (I am not going to use the word) said they could come back and apply for part after being ESORTED out like criminals? I have never wished ill but I don't wish success for these people in their endevours and many students will not even walk into a Follett bookstore.

Yes some hard working people were let go from that store. A surprise visit from Follett HR. They were told their jobs were eliminated than told they were welcome to apply for a part time job in a few weeks. Than the manager took them around to say goodbye the friends & co-workers than they were escort out the door. These workers were there from 10+ years, worked hard, knew a lot about every department and cared about the store and the company. The company didn't care about them. The only thing this company care about is $$$$. I myself would never work for this company.
