Worked in ISM department two separate times. Now Corp has shifted PO writing, invoice reconciliation, and total purchasing and finance responsibilities to India. Can't wait until language barrier and time-zone difference brings all of those duties back to U.S.

ISM didn't even know those duties were being outsourced. I am certain some bone-head found a sure-fire way to save $5.00 per transaction, but failed to see what the TOTAL ramifications were. That person got a big fat bonus, while I and at least 10 others lost their jobs, and bills aren't being paid on time. The net result of the $5.00 per transaction saving?...Nothing, except if you consider a net loss to Target in vendor payments and vendor relationships nothing. WTF cares now. Can't wait for other shake-ups in Mpls. I shop at Walmart now.
Makes you wonder who gets a fat bonus for outsourcing those tasks. Idiot leaders in this company see nothing but $$$ saved, but they can't seem to graps the concept of how much extra work it takes to get around training, language and time barriers. Not to mention the turnaround... It seems every month a new person is in and has been poorly trained, which requires US teams to fix the errors, re-train and start the cycle over again.
Oh, and so long Beth. Long overdue...
