Please ignore the main poster here - he or she is a troll trying to stir things up. Most of us US workers are more than fine with Indian folks collaborating with this, I have many dear friends of Indian descent. My grandparents came from Italy and Ireland and had to put up with more or less same shit - they talked to me about it and I always saw sorrow in their eyes - I hate bigots and will always hate tehm. Nobody had it easy here as the first generation. We appreciate the help and while there will always be issues most of us see you as part of our Target team.
They just use these people and pay them like they are below human. Target says they are about human rights, but they pay these folks a quarter of what the Americans make.
Reading the older posts, it seems that people in India were worried about getting laid-off. I would imagine that if anyone there did, it would only be a matter of weeks before finding another job.
A few of my friends just lost their jobs to people in India, and here it may take up to ONE YEAR to find work. If you're over 50, forget it....
Hence, the frustration...
TTS HQ.. India has been doing favor to America. American companies can be competitive with rest of the world by leveraging cheap services .. in return india buys billion's of dollars defense equipment. There is big market for Oracle,Cisco,IBM etc and other companies in India for there products. You need to be competitive to earn your job... if you have in yourself you wull definitely get job in America.
You are being a bit harsh. Target has chosen the offshore business model and the teams from Target India and TCS are part of that model. I have worked with many of them and have nothing but high regards for them as individuals. They do work very hard and spend a lot time away from their families. This is only becuase Target has chosen to work this way. Don't blame them for the situation.
