Promotion and performance are not related in most of the cases in Target India.People who have never done any proper delivery \ worked on proper projects are promoted. Many people who are delivering are still at same place. Don't wast time\energy in getting promoted in Target India,same effort may bring better result outside....Otherwise the easiest way for promotion in Target India,get in to some initiative(However silly\ foolish it may be :), promotion is on your way :):)
