The numbers are not accurate - this is not a 150 people layoff wave - this is a 1,000 people layoff wave, we'll end up letting go over a thousand of people in in different geographies and from different groups. We are shifting strategies when it comes to technology, and this is what's happening - so, new strategy and cost cutting. One of the posters noted that Infosys will be taking a more active role - I can confirm this as well - you'll see more of that, more outside work, more consulting, more nimble projects etc. I think it's not going to work but I am a mid level manager so who am I to provide opinion to senior folks. I think the issue will be with ownership - employees care more about success, consultants care about billing and next promotion based on the billable hours. So they will milk it while they can. Best Buy went through the same thing with Accenture and I was there at the time - they spent few years having Accenture set their digital and ecommerce strategy and execute on it - it did not work, period... Many Accenture folks got bonuses, many of them made partners, it was a huge feast for consultants as ton of money was flowing in, presentations never looked better, plans were awesome, but in the end it never got executed with passion and zeal that in house vested employees can do. My 2 very small cents - THIS WILL FAIL AGAIN>
