Anadarko works a 9/80 schedule on most offices excluding field jobs, or land department is a skeleton crew compared to CHKs or contracted out when necessary. Bonuses are annual and in two categories: individual and company performance based. We have less personnel by ratio then CHK but we don't have all of your subsidiaries either which drastically adds to your headcount....I think we are hiring at the current time or at least have jobs posted anyway. Depending on your manager it's still an old boys club and each year management does a review to see if the company is still lean enough and if they think we are not then you get some layoffs but usually you have notice and get a decent severance. It's not the greatest place to work for young people but that's just my 2 cents from the Woodlands. Management is generally open with the employees so I am assuming your new CEO is getting strong armed by his board of directors. I wish you all the best.
