So I was just in my office and an HR rep entered briskly and shut the door. My heart started pounding. I knew what was coming next. I was in a daze when I heard them making noises. I assumed it was talking but my only thought was that I was going to have to find another job. I had been at CHK for awhile and really enjoyed my time here.
Suddenly and without warning, they set down the paper they were holding, and walked out looking much happier than when they came in. I thought it odd that they didn't make me sign anything. As I was gathering my things to leave, my boss said "see you after lunch". That's when I remembered that I was a janitor and they were just going to the bathroom. Phew!
