To the long essay below: you are correct on a few things (example..conversion and merchant buys)but new "Iphones and lap tops"- not really a benefit since the lap tops are the same and for work and support to the stores and the phones also are for constant 24/7 work and communication with the stores (certainly not recreation). If you think DM's are having a party relaxin' with their new "phones"...I can assure you...that's not the case. They are for work.DM's also were not "flown in" for free stuff- they worked long meeting days to better support the stores. And it wasnt a frivolous meeting- It was held in home office and expenses were clearly kept at a minimum (vs. other retailer meetings) I keep wondering who these "rm's" are who sit at home? I don't know any??? and if that is truly the case then tell someone. I also do not know of any 23% conversion goals but rather an increase over ly goal and outlets as a whole are not performing right now (due to other factors). So quit the blame game...we are all in this together. Show me a retailer right now with out a leaner labor model- we are all cutting hours- look around. Charlotte has been smart about a lot and it seems on this board no one gives credit but again...just blame.
