and btw- sometimes its not that the dm is too lazy to get off their "fat ass and visit"- you might not realize how much administrative work that is required (most often done on personal time) and on top of that---2,3,and 4 hour drives to get to the store. That's why we have managers that get compensated for their work- District managers should visit a store 1-2 a month depending on how far away they are (unless they have the wrong people running it). That's why it is called a district. So easy to complain when you drive a mile every day and get off at 5:00 or 9:00 and get to go straight home...not go to a hotel or back on the road
