Is@@c said Mattel had a big lay off?

Anyone know about any layoffs at Mattel, FP, AG or Mega?

As far as I know, it’s been a while since the early retirement package was offered. I knew a few people who received it, ultimately turned it down, and later regretted it. It’s a hard decision to make, but it’s nice to have that option to consider at least. Good luck!

I thought the retirement pkg was a nice idea. At least it gave people a choice.

All major layoffs have a code name. The one that shut down an AG Distribution Center last year was "Project Topaz."

I thought they were calling it "Operation Gorgon Stare".

Layoffs are coming in July. There is even a code name for them - Project Titan. Get ready.

These layoffs have been happending steadily since last fall. Mattel has finally copied Hasbro is it's approach to layoffs and instead of doing massive amounts in the vain hope of telling Wall Street, "we're cutting costs, boss", they do them in much smaller groups (even onesies and twosies). The latest group was exited in late April. Justin Robinson, from HR confided in me that they have $250,000,000 in head count to still cut.
