Thread regarding Ford layoffs

What a dumb fing question. About as dumb as the fing corporation. This company will never change with the family in control. They have no accountability. Have jobs paying more than the going salary. Do any of them ever get laid off? Really. Getting paid from the gene account.. At the other 2 dimwits, at least they do not have this special voting class.

Blows big baby chunks. Backstabbing, credit stealing, s---ing up instead of working have only increased. The hard workers were walked out so people behave accordingly.

With the amount of BS, knob Polishing by Managers, Bureaucracy and now the STD, I means SRD - I’ll give it a -10 if it’s possible. Yes I work there, am I happy - Nooooo. Paycheck and having a job is still ok.

My friends who are still there are unhappy, or so they say. I was happy there until they let me go. Don’t kid yourself about “dead weight” being let go. I had always received great reviews. I kept learning new skills, delivered results, was very cooperative and collaborative and didn’t complain when more work was piled on me even though I had to work 60 hours most weeks to keep up. I had no time for walks around the building, breaks or lunch like many others enjoyed! The thing about busting your rear is that you’ll get great reviews and bigger raises and bonuses and on paper you’ll have a higher wage than your peers which appeared to be a consideration this go round. Work hard, keep current skills and be a great team player. Those are the attributes that will help you find your next gig if Ford dumps you. Your skills and reputation are your best Jon security.

There is a feel of unease that is for sure. Bummed/confused about the co - workers let go. Electric/Autonomous going forward will definitely be a challenge since profits/margins will be lean - at best. Must stay focused and build skills, be a team player and be part of the solutions going forward.

You do not want to be a complainer, pessimistic or slacker because the economy is more than likely going to slow down.

Try to stay off the wrong list.

I am very happy here - Layoffs s---ed and it'll be difficult to compete, but I'd give it an 8...

@ZwUhMw0 as a pensioner LL employee the cuts didn’t go far enough. There will be more rounds for sure. I’d say so far about 1/2 the people I have still s—k. They will be on my next list to HR. In the meantime I will leverage the good people I have and reward them accordingly. I’m not going to let these remaining slackers stop my team from getting the job done and an LL3 for me.

Still an unfamiliar odor lingering, facilities already contacted.

Then one day you will be dead weight and be gone, guess everything goes in cycles. The only difference is you won't have a pension, save your pennies and returnable cans, your gonna need them. Lol

Considering they promoted me last month quite happy. Hopefully they rid the company of most of the dead weight pensioned “do-nothing’ers” so my team is quality and productive. Otherwise those who aren’t are history in the next round. #FordTough
