Thread regarding Optum layoffs

It was all true. Their last day was yesterday. They are all gone except for 3 people from desktop support. How the hell do they expect to keep things running?

all the contractors are all gone now. Not sure what's going to happen to the rest of the IT people but they didn't move on the 31st with the rest of the people. Some Alere people are still in the old building with no move date in sight now.

They have been left behind, probably will be let go soon.

Not a good way to treat people.

The Greek civilization existed one time until they all gave themselves big lofty tittles and positions and decided to sit around and think all day long, Look at all the CEO CFO CEEO CEEEEO and all the C titles and Director of this that an the other thing at this company and you will see that its the same model. Will go the way of the Greeks eventually.

The H1B visa program and outsourcing has destroyed IT in the entire United Sates for all US employees, companies shift there IT overseas to countries where they do not have to pay a living wage or benefits under the false claim that these people are better at IT than American based workers, its a lie its all about getting something for nothing, It is a very Sad day when the requirement to get a Job in IT is a bachelors degree and every Microsoft Cert under the sun and the job is 6 month contract with no benefits and the pay is 18 dollars an hour. You would be better served applying for a Job at Walmart where you need to know nothing but jump up and down in stupid team meetings before they open.

Not being treated any differently than regular employees. Nobody is safe here. Been quarterly layoffs now for almost 18 months, with more to come.

all we have to do is wait for the dates to pass and the truth will be displayed for all to see.
