Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Even after getting SIRP'd - the process draaaaagggs onnnnn...

Geez...why does it take so long to register a separation in the HR and various systems? My last day was 5/31 and NESC still can't see anywhere in the system that I've separated from the company.

So this holds up various financial decisions on 401k, pension, etc. etc. It's just salt added to the wound.

I can say that even with this stupid delay, it's a heck of a lot less stressful than it was for the past 9 months waiting and wondering what was going to happen. From that respect, I am thankful its over.

But let's go already. Click the button and send the info. You took the cars. I got some things to buy!

NESC is clueless. I learned I was being let go mid May and immediately started the retirement process. A week later they told me the retirement “packet” had been mailed. I called multiple times to ask about it and would sit on hold for at least an hour each time only to hear that it had been mailed. Last night I found it as an attachment to an alert in myfordbenefits. It had been there for over a week. Trust nothing they say. It’s a call center and I don’t think all of them have been well trained.

NESC is a theft organization with very limited investment options. They control your money you saved in 401k. Put only the minimum that company matches in your 401k. And Save on your IRA.

Wonder what the "back office" actually is. They used that same reference today when I contacted them. Guess I'll be contacting them every day at 9am like you mentioned to try and push this along.

I got let go in Wave 3 and called everyday explaining how it isn't life or death but I would like to get my first pension check in May. They explained I may get a "double check" in June but they would escalate my request with the back office. They got it done but I called 9am every morning to make sure things were moving along.

I talked to them to this past Friday on a different matter and to me they seemed a lot more worn out and were rambling a bit -- "actions take about a month but that doesn't apply to your situation" , etc.

Is the slow cloud uploads causing the delay, hot human interaction or delay, just be patient & have another beer like the rest of enjoying the time off.

The NESC is the most inept organization, next to HR, in Ford. They purposely cause pain to people leaving, I know. You have to hound them. It's truly a sin.
