Pearson has been starving and then selling off their business groups over the last few years. I expect that to continue until there is nothing left. This is why you havent seen a change in leadership or any long-term investment in the company in years.
Until they have sold the remaining pieces, the company will continue to employ sales reps through each spring selling season and then immediately conduct layoffs so they don't have to pay the bonuses.
At this point, if you haven't been laid off, you should be asking yourself why you want to be a part of this cycle moving forward? By staying, you are signaling to the company's leadership that you are ok with being disposable and that you are comfortable with a mission that places shareholder value over the product, people, and service. If you choose to stay now, you stand for absolutely nothing.
