I don't see any mentions of more layoffs today, does that mean we are done? I certainly hope we are, I'm really not sure how much more of this uncertainty I can take.
Wouldn't it be nice to have all off this done in a single day, instead of having to stress about it constantly?

Starting to see ripples of change.... unannounced reorgs, a few VP's (+/-) leaving. Don't know if it was forced or not.
No departmental layoff news (yet) but won't be surprised if it happens gradually over the next few weeks. The RIF process might be watered down due to recent violence in Virginia Beach.
There will always be layoffs, this is not a great company. Get your resume in order, there's better things out there. Anthem isn't worth the stress.

@ZpsTrW6-3hmi I want to agree, but my head says otherwise. Give it time. Look at the early threads (2018 ish) They were in shock and posted later.

Which leads me to a reminder that HR is out here too. And we know it is common for corporations to control the workforce through induced trauma (i.e. covert mass layoffs) on compliant populations (i.e. most employees). This website is proof of that sad reality.
I was told layoffs will happen in July
By the lack of posts it sounds like the "massive" layoffs didn't happen. Which may not be a bad thing. I wish people wouldn't post stuff like that based on pure speculation.
I know several layoff notification were communicated today and more to come.

Had a call last week that they were letting go ten in our department in the next thirty days. Still haven’t heard anything if anyone was let go or not ...

I can confirm that a lay-off did occur. Can not go into detail about the area but several were let go

Anthem does this in waves so 'not to stir the pot' ,if you will. Too many layoffs at once in a particular state,in a certain time frame, a company is required to report to the labor board - Anthem is laying low. They have this all figured out .
