Yes there was a massive layoff in KC . Research WC was hit and they are sending jobs to Manila. Last day is August 23rd. Others were also hit 55 to 60 folks. Some are getting it in Dec. Goodbye KC SS.

I think this may be a bogus post, no one willing to mention which departments.
Yes AIG is very creative in doing the RIF's in numbers that are below the reporting numbers. They have done RIF's in this way for years. It's amazing that this hasn't been picked up by the news and media including some social media. AIG isn't transparent when it comes to that for sure!
They are avoiding WARN notices by systematically laying off below reporting level. That keeps it off the radar of state and news.

There is four people including me received news for the RIF layoffs for at Olathe SS. I am bless to take the severance package and look for opportunities elsewhere. I feel like load of stress is lift from my shoulders.
I honestly got a bad vibe from my department since they transfer the work from SP. I can definitely see AIG haven't recover since the stock market crash in year 2008. The company don't give a f--- about the employees with bogus STI bonus check. Let's be real... The boat for AIG sunk..and will continue the RIF for executives and CEO to get their cut for what is worth the AIG is worth. Yes. The whole entire Olathe SS will get shut down..once Manilla is ready to take over the work. F--- AIG. They are greedy a--holes that could care less what happens to us next.
If you are still employee at the company then get the f--- out of there.
I hope they were given WARN notices as I believe when you RIF a large number of employees you have to file something with either the gov't or state and tell employees

I have heard the same 50-60 people impacted today. Hard to see all the announcements about new execs coming in while this goes on.
About half the building was affected from what I've heard. I survived this one but it seems very obvious they are going to close the KS service center soon. Manila is taking all of our work.
Does anyone know how many people were told they were being laid off today in KC SS?
