Just curious, I guess, given that I think that I’ll be let go rel soo. Do they escort you of the property or do you have time to say goodbye to your coworkers and clear your stuff? Do they jus read you the script and break it to you right away? Do you sign the layoff paperwork immediately or do you have time to go through it? Any info or experiences?

Layoff approach has varied over the years and teams. Some are told by supervisor and HR rep and then expected to exit the building quickly. Others seem to get a few days or weeks to wrap things up.
About that 2 weeks pay per year of service ... good luck with that! I had years of service and all I got was 2 weeks, not per year, just 2 weeks.
I've heard some folks were escorted off and their belongings were mailed to them.
For my department, where we all worked remotely due to an office closure, were were herded into a google hangout and told our last work day would be xx/xx. Then each of us waited for a HR rep reach out and fill in all the blanks.
If you get a new job severance stops. I've heard from previous waves that there are ways around this - like others said - if you're careful.
They're just gutting the place and don't give a c-ap or understand anything they're doing. It's insane.
I really used to believe in that place. I'm happy I'm out despite the uncertainty. Good luck all.
That's actually not true about severance - it's 2 weeks for every year you have been at Pearson. And If you are under that you still get 4 weeks.
I've worked for several companies in my professional career...Pearson is the only former employer that I absolutely want to see destroyed.
Many people are going to find out in about an hour.
If you're a remote employee, you wait by the phone all day. Most likely HR or a senior manager will call you and read a script. They don't offer a lot of questions but ask that you don't call a bunch of other people up asking if they kept a job or laid off too. Your manager is just in the dark so they don't encourage you to call them. They'll ask if you understand and then HR sends you an email with details of your lay off. After the call, no one gives a dang about you whether you were there a year or 30 years. It's an awful organization and most of us will enjoy watching Pearson crumble.
There is a Facebook group of former employees you can join too. As far as I can tell, it isn’t part of Pearson.
Here is what I witnessed during one layoff day: People chatted quietly and nervously in small groups all day. I was much quieter than the normal workday. Some people were called to come down to the HR office; others were approached at their desk by the HR personnel. They did not come back upstairs, so I believe their belongings were gathered for them and delivered to them. I did see some of the laid off people walking out of the building with boxes of their belongings. ITs arrived at their desks shortly after they were called to HR and did work on their computers- locking them out of the computer. It was a very sad day. It could be done differently in different locations. Get outside contact information from your work friends now so that you can contact each other later.
