“This is an example of a new model of education … a way for this new era that kids [may] not
necessarily have a college degree,” Rometty said of the program that is now in its seventh year. “I need
that workforce for my company and I need society to want these technologies and not be divided over
them.”
“I need that workforce for my company Translation: "After we RA a small city's worth of highly seasoned, deeply experienced, largely degreed employees who are probably mostly Caucasian and male, we're going to replace them with lesser educated, lower paid, hyper-diverse noobs. And we're going to keep doing it annually."

So no qualms about divulging the number hired, especially in this case given the diversity of the hires, but how about providing the same information on how many do you fire?
