Absolutely disgraceful. All they want is to be middle of the road and then are surprised when folks leave. No pension plan, no more SERMA. Expensive health care, no cafeteria subsidy... except free soda to give everyone diabetes :(
Sounds to me that most work will be done by contractors in the future. Intel no longer cares about the welfare of it's employees.
How is this news!? Your belief in the company's care for employees should have been destroyed long ago when you witnessed the perp walks... that was midway into the decade long shadow pay reduction you describe.
