Seems like CTL has plans for something new. Bought this property (see article) and will probably have to pay the same amount remodeling it.

New headquarters, no state tax.
If they are building a new headquarters it would be because of something Colorado and Louisiana don't have International Airport to fly back and forth to South America and other international areas and back. It's a prime destination for many around the World etc. That doesn't include personal perks for them making the decisions I imagine. This washes their hands of historically Telecom Hubs and Headquarters, look for sales of more Telecom buildings and consolidations to support the IT world they are trying to create. The Advisors they have hired for what to do with Consumer Business are acquisition and sales people to try and get the biggest bang for buck they can from the regions they want to get rid of. That is the justification for buying this property, they think they can make it up with those sales.
This is BS. They are laying off right and left because they cant afford to pay workers but yet they can dish out that kind of money to buy ANOTHER bldg they dont need.
So this is a old area that has run down and is considered the bad part of town, they will clear this out and build something else there. Like maybe the new Level 3 err um CenturyLink head quarters, it would be finished just about the time the agreement they just made in Louisiana runs out roughly. Story and Cronies will be in a Sun State and have all the fun things they like to do.
Winter Park techs...… you think you all are alone with the sh--ty contracts? that's what you think? odd men out? They haven't spent a DIME in Citrus county in 10 years NOTHING....unless there was a truly squeaky wheel, who may have known management and was able to get a system OUT OF A DUMPSTER in the villages and have it installed in the middle of nowhere? But they now have dsl ! be damned to all the customers in areas like crystal rive,r Homosassa, Hernando, Inverness nope they get NOTHING....The last contract? almost 2 FULL YEARS until a T.A. was reached !!! For a sh--ty set of raises... a real c-apola of a contract...….NO BACK PAY....a "bonus" what a joke ….Y'all need to read between the lines they are looking to get rid of Floridas unions here at CTL also looking to get rid of you well paid pensioned employees...……...yeah Aprils coming fast for the men of Citrus....Guaranteed we will get less of EVERYTHING again this time around...… Your true problem? 3176 is weak as hell, they didn't strike when they should have so now they will be unable...not all their fault of course CWA National S--- anymore no more nationwide solidarity strikes that sh-- left with Reagan so without national support in a right to work state how strong do you think your union is? they don't even have B.A.'S? to visit rank and file regularly ….face it your ship is listing solidly to the left and they wont even give a pan to bail with
They have 18.8 million dollars to quickly buy that property in Miami but say a they cash strapped when it comes to giving the Winter Park techs are fair contract!
