I saw a lot of consultants on campus this week asking for financial records. Does this mean that GM is finally considering merging with Ford?

VW merger seems most likely as Ford desperately needs Audi exec leases. Ford Execs have been forced to drive Lincolns since the sale of the PAG badges and that's just wrong.
VW-Ford ... when you thought it couldn't get any worse than Fiat-Chrysler.
It would be VW. Mazda would be an acquisition not a merger
Merger should happen within the next 90-120 days, except its Not with GM, some of you need to think "global" vs domestic.
So who then? Mazda? VW? Geely?
F-Ford First!
Its only financial advisors that want your money.
Friend confirmed similar activity at GM. Lots of suits looking at real estate records. They were told to get them whatever they needed and not ask where they were from or what they were doing....strange

GMs pride is much bigger than Ford, I would doubt it. If it was to occur, Ford would be the one mostly asorbed. The design systems would merge into NX from Catia as Catia is a system few among its peers. There are far fewer with its skill set opposed to those with NX.
Hmmm. The best of Ford trucks, and GMs EV, GMs lyft, maven, and on star network, along with its global presence, it could be a powerhouse. However, I don't thing GM is this smart, so it's likely it will NOT happen.
F--- GM
I saw a group of consultants on campus asking for medical & dental records
Yes, that's the only possible explanation...Ford never hires consultants for ANYTHING, except a potential GM merger (or BCG to do the layoffs, but that's beside the point).
The fact that this was posted means it MUST be true!
This is the second post conjuring a GM and Ford merger. Just stop it. There is no way Mary Barra or the Hackster would ever want to part with those fat pay checks. The only merger I can see is Ford and VW. They both have holes that the merger would fill. GM and Ford have all the same vehicles and are relevant in the same markets. There would be nothing to leverage between the two with a merger.
Who cares about the impact to the Ford family stock - get over it!
What would be done with the Ford family and their preferred stock?
It's hard to see any other corporation merging with Ford and maintaining the current preferred stock structure.
