Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Lampert doesn't want to pay severance

For those laid off after bankruptcy. Saw news articles about this. Thought it would be discussed in here.

There are still severance packages that are still not paid out. The Sears reps are either uninformed or simply lying.

Reading a CNBC article, it clarified that severance WAS already paid out by “old Sears” to laid off employees, so at least they got the severance they were supposed to get.

The issue is really a fight between Transform and “old Sears”. Transform was supposed to reimburse “old Sears” for the severance costs, but Eddie is claiming he got short changed when he bought assets, so he’s refusing to reimburse for the severance already paid out

Several retirees in their 80s and 90s died just days after Eddie cancelled their retirement plans, leaving their widows destitute, and now this. Eddie is truly scum.

I generally don't agree with AOC or Senator Warren but on this issue I do. I realize severance is not required but when Eddie said he would pay it he needs to do so.
