Just cutting half of the senior general foreman would likely increase productivity by 150 percent. They spend more time chasing rules and making names for themselves than actually learning what people do, and helping the process. I'd be willing to bet that given a table with random parts and tools, 90% of management couldn't name half of the items, let alone associate what they do.

Management is overloaded. Why do they continue to go unscathed. Remember the culture change from 2010. What happened to that.
A senior general salary would do a lot more to the bottom line than a craft employee who actually has a job to do.
