Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Watch...we will once again end up with more employees

Make no mistake, all this was about was entrenching a new cast of Bozos into management. At the end of the day it looks like they promoted just as many as they walked out the door. Now they have tons of open positions on the new org charts that they will have to hire more people from the outside in order to make the new structure work. Watch...we will once again end up with more employees. All smoke and mirrors. Except now we have more inept management in place to screw things up even further.

Think that @Zjtx8zs-pfm told it like it is. Great post!

Absolutely agree. Don’t know what this headcount reduction is? We let go a lot of LL6+ and then promoted more! Really - this is purely a stupid selfish stunt for false economy. Outsiders see a 20% reduction, stock prices goes up and the fake man on top gets a raise. I have not seen anything positive come out of the Stupid, I mean Smart Redesign.

In our area, number of positions at LL5 and above level was not reduced at all. Instead, some folks got promoted. Couple of Managers left but their positions were backfilled so no trimming. There are open positions that will be filled with contract heads. I do not see any reduction in structure, or reduction in layers of management looking upwards from my position.... Hope that is a good sign and not a bad re-org design....

Amen to that. In our area, pre-layoffs they promoted many boot licking bozos; laid off all the LL6 who did any work and cared about the company; are now preparing to promote bozo GSRs into the LL6 “openings”. Our layers of management increased by one. I was asked to prepare GSR job postings to back fill the GSR slots once they are promoted into LL6 slots.

What a crock

I can only imagine that this scene is playing out all over the company. Pigs at the trough.
