Layoffs or Survival?

Layoffs or Survival? I have been asking myself this question over the last few weeks! Seeing what I see now, I think it’s survival. I have seen many LL6+ with years of service and talents been let go through the doors and at the same time promotions happening. Does this make sense? Is it really an SRD exercise or survival of the fittest. SRD should have been used to clean out the dead wood from top to bottom, including GSR’s. Then if the company needed to further reduce, offer separations and work from there. From what I can gather, SRD is a spreadsheet exercise to make numbers work. Wasn’t great going home to family and trying to explain that I did not make the cut on the spreadsheet. What are others experience?

I hope the company appointed for the SRD does go through the Organisation and tries to understand what/how they they did to reached the new structure. Highly recommended to continue to review it every qtr to see if the structure works or if it’s just BS. Some people have lost their jobs to the BS. Also, the new hierarchy shows how selfish they have been.

They may use offers in the future. Based on this last reduction I believe more would take the offer in the future rather than be shown the door.

Agree. SRD is BS. Hope Hackett opens his eyes.

You are either a problem or a solution, you pick, don't let them.

I have seen leadership being escorted off the property. Ones I thought that will never go. I am cherishing every minute I have before my calling is up.
