Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

This strategy is NOT WORKING.

Firing people and moving talent offshore isn't going to solve this problem. It might look good on a balance sheet temporarily, but you're not going to offset the contracts you lose by eliminating the very reason people signed contracts in the first place.

Invest in your talent. Motivate your employees. Build the service level up and look long term instead of this slash and burn firesale that's fooling absolutely no one, as evident by the stock price.

Long termer here from one of the smaller specialist consulting houses that got swallowed up by this b--tard love child of HPE and CSC. They gutted so hard and fast last year that we have lost the ability to do delivery and the market knows it, we are losing clients left and right and the answer seems to to present us with another org chart every few weeks. No initiatives ever go anywhere, there's no guidance at all and no one understands the strategy. Everyone is leaving, or like me, taking it easy and awaiting the really very generous severence package to inevitably come around.

The only asset this company has is it's talent. As soon as the talent is gone, the contract cancellation will follow. It won't take long. This industry is super competitive there is no reason a company needs to settle for overpriced offshore talent.
