Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

worst company ever

after laying off thousands and thousands of good employees to cut the cost, it hired almost same number with no experience. most upper management are disconnected from realities. ceo failed miserably to lead the company (as per another person, if he was an ops manager delivering these results, he would have been fired). his initiatives and plans sank the company despite all the fancy unrealistic presentations given to investors. and the worst part is that the top management now going to switch from transformation to digital BS. and again, they will cheer and sing and plan and BS talk about these great ideas. sad sad sad

If you r looking to lose more money join SLB you will make nothing in bonus and get nothing but demoted every year. Nobody what's to work here anymore so every crew Is short on people so they want you to work more for less

Five years transforming and clients still not buying the BS. Apparently SLB Digital team and SLB Robotics Houston/Boston two aliens in SLB world will save the boat!

Starting in Dec 2014, over 70k employees and their families have been ruined while SLB executives got ridiculous bonuses and salary raises. Unless they transform the greedy rotten management, this company doesn't have any future.

What about “Blue Print” ??? Ahahaha !!! Always some lame catchphrase that’s completely worthless to operations. Scumbooger is led by a bunch of rag heads who manage a team of scumberbots into oblivion. This company is in a death spiral and it’s magnificent !!!

Slb people are losers, mostly.

I was one big loser believing in blue, slb, big company, international...

I wasted 12 out of 15 years of service.

I am told I am a better person now, happier and somehow regain intelligent and younger after layoff.

I should mention I am still carrying some negative attitudes from slb with me even after 2 years, that is why I want slb people to stay in slb forever and never leave, so market outside remains for healthy people of non-oil&gas.

Not just their blinkered views, many have no marketable skills to offer any employer outside of SLB. This company destroys over time all skill, ingenuity, and personal talent that you had before you joined it. Slaves to a blinkered mantra that cannot succeed, witnessed by the continuing slow decline of the share price and profit margins. This company will not survive long term unless a radical change is made, it has only got this far by buying out the opposition and then destroying the new acquisition with the same Big Blue we are best ruinous culture and destructive management style.

Cannot fault your summary. However the True Blue Acolytes on the home page comments will still slavishly repeat the 'we are all true blue' mantra knowing that their blinkered views will not get them any other job.
