Let's face it. Those who have marketable skills would have walked out long ago. Those who are left are constantly worried about the next round of cuts, unable to focus on their work and fed up with having to take on the additional load left by those who left.
Those who were thinking of joining the company will think twice for the reasons above.
In this business the people are the biggest assets and once you lose them that's it.
They are replacing people with contractors. The contractors are doing a horrible job because they themselves do not care. Sadly, this won't end well for anyone but those who cash out their stock while its high.
Not convinced that the company, overall, actually cares about retaining talent and those with a lot of knowledge and skills acquired over many years. Everyone is dispensable. Brilliant, knowledgeable and effective people are leaving or considering leaving. Yes the business will carry on without them but how well? Will anyone notice or would want to notice until it’s too late?
Do people need reminding that Reuters was in dire financial straits before Thomson bought it? And now it's dragging Thomson down.
There are small shops out there that don't have the brand name but are lean mean machines. I'll take that anytime over a famous but bloated ship.

Agreed. Think things went downhill after Thomson bought Reuters.
The geniuses who thought buying Reuters was a good idea set this in motion. Glad I and close to retirement.
