Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Medical benefits for people with 55 plus age and 10 plus service years but hired after 2004

In planning for coming layoffs - I was wondering if someone can educate on what I can expect in terms of medical benefits from the company. I am over 55 and more than 10 years of experience but hired after 2004. They define benefits for people before 2001 very well but are very vague about what medical benefits I can expect. Calling NESC has not helped as I always get someone who is researching with me on the topic. Appreciate anyone in the know or who just went through this layoff to define expected benefits. Much appreciate.

Wait until your HRA is funded a few weeks from now. You will get a notification from wageworks or alight. That will give you an idea of your available funds for deductibles. You also will be getting invoice for your cost for the SIRP health care. Yes you must be sure to pay the invoices monthly or no coverage during SIRP window.

Be sure to attend one of the post benefits webex on 5/28 or 6/4 they give you the details.

Nothing, other than 6 months continuation of benefits as part of SIRP if they let you go. Other than that, you are on your own until Medicare at 65.
