Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

The sneaky layoffs

I know desperate times call for desperate measures, but aren’t times like this also a period when the company should be more considering towards the employees, as the people that built everything and the people whose lives are being destroyed. One would think they could be up-front with the employees and at least announce a wave of cuts, rather then cutting people by the day under the radar, Shame on them.

Being "up-front" and honest with anyone is not something you can do at WS if you want to remain employed for any length of time. In my years of micromanaged subjugation at WS, I learned that the top executives were masters at consistently spinning information and systematically funneling that rhetoric down to management who's role as yes-men ensured their job security. Drinking the Kool-Aid by those on the lower rungs of the corporate ladder would open up opportunities for advancement (swallowing it was optional for those who lacked integrity and could keep their mouths shut). In summary - I learned to trust no one there. It was quite a life experience and It's very sad that the most dedicated hard working employees have lost (or will lose) their livelihood and that TT will probably get another bonus for making it happen.

I heard T-bag is getting a new contract. They said based on his previous track record they are going to be generous and start him off at $8.25/hour.

They just have to stay until the end, no other metric other than honor the nda they sign and keep their mouths shut about what’s really going on. Been there before, know this process intimately.

They already got the court approval. It was hidden in a statement last month or so. I’ll find the statement and post it on this website.

As part of the Kerp they asked to continue giving raises and the ability to make changes as the business needed to be successful. They’re about to start lighting fires soon.

They have to get court approval for layoffs. That will be known publicly before they happen. Right now the court said no layoffs.

Does anyone know what the metrics are that these crooks have to meet to get the bonuses or do they just get them for sticking around and whining about how hard they work? If I got a bonus like that I wouldn't be worried about my bills since we don't get raises. I exceed all the goals in my department but dam sure don't get a bonus like that.

No layoffs until these rats get their motivational bonuses, they still need the s2ckers to get them there.

All that I ask is if they do it just call me at home, so that way I can at least sleep in.
