If we all know what is coming our way then why do we just sit doing nothing. Our jobs is our bread and butter, our jobs is reason we can sleep at night knowing we are far away from being homeless and having nothing. So you go home from work to watch tv eat some dinner, kiss the kids good night and lay next to your wife. You try to get some sleep but it’s there in your mind that soon maybe you will not have a job. So what are you going to do? You save up at least 6 months of money to pay your rent and bills, no I don’t mean your Netflix bill or Hulu. You buy extra things like soap, deoderant, toilet paper and can food to last 6 months. At least when the cuts come your way, you are ready. You have some time to figure out what you will do next. Your not worried not having the money for rent. Prepare now and don’t wait like most employees will.

But it is wise to have a emergency fund prepared. Also always be on the look out for better opportunities in the work force.

get fired collect unemployment 50% of your pay in MA. Take your time and find a job you really want. Very easy to do. This company is terrible they don't give twoshits about any of usg

Except it's hard to prepare for the unknown. It's not like you can just line up another job and then tell them you'll start 6 months from now after my current job fails or lays me off. And corporate's not going to tell you a thing. We found out about cutbacks in our store like 2 weeks before they happened, so talk about happening right out of the blue. They weren't kidding when corporate said 2019 was going to be a tough year.
